Gender issues
Feeling oneself to be different from the gender ascribed at birth is a very scary place to be, and the consequent Gender Identity issues that arise often precipitate feelings of intense wrongness, personal isolation, and deep distress.
Self-acceptance and some opportunity to express the inner self safely, without guilt, is a way forward for some people; others need to complete transition from one external gender to the other in order to alleviate the pressures of life. Through valuing both the uniqueness of the individual and the wide spectrum of possible life paths, our specialist counselling works respectfully with both those who are troubled by Gender Dysphoria and those with G.I.D. (Transsexualism) enabling then to find their own ways forward to a more fulfilling life.
Transvestite, Transgender, and Transsexual clients, both male-to-female and female-to-male, equally welcome.
We also offer experienced and supportive counselling to S.O.s, family, friends and workplace. Individual, pair and group work available
